About
Emily Kobayashi, M.D., is a general surgeon that believes in a personalized, integrative approach to surgery, considering the patient's preferences and concerns.
Inspired by her father, an ear, nose, and throat surgeon, Dr. Kobayashi received her early medical training by her father as his surgical assistant. During the year they spent time working together at a small mission hospital in Nigeria, she grew to appreciate his strong work ethic and deep respect for his patients. Later, Dr. Kobayashi chose surgery as opposed to a medical specialty because she enjoys problems with practical solutions and working with her hands.
Dr. Kobayashi and her husband, also a physician, both enjoy having a broad scope of practice. She feels that Roswell has a need for doctors and therefore has many opportunities. Dr. Kobayshi believes that every human being is a unique individual with inherent dignity and worth and caring for a patient requires caring for the whole person, including their spiritual, emotional, and physical needs.
Dr. Kobayashi is also the mother of two small children. As a family, they love to spend time outdoors hiking, rock climbing, or camping.
Dr. Kobayashi provides a wide range of surgical services and welcomes the opportunity to treat you and your family.
